GlobalProtect Integration Guide
Overview
GlobalProtect is Palo Alto Networks’ remote-access and VPN solution that connects users and devices back to corporate resources through firewall-hosted portals and gateways. It depends on server certificates for those portals and gateways, and frequently on client or machine certificates for strong certificate-based authentication. CertSecure Manager manages both sides of that certificate estate so remote access stays secure and uninterrupted.
Key Use Cases
- Issue and automatically renew the SSL certificates on GlobalProtect portals and gateways, so VPN connectivity never drops because of an expired server certificate – one of the most common and most visible causes of remote-access outages.
- Provision, rotate, and revoke the client and machine certificates used for certificate-based GlobalProtect authentication, keeping device trust current as endpoints are onboarded, reissued, or decommissioned across the fleet.
- Continuously monitor expiry and enforce trusted-CA and crypto policy across all GlobalProtect certificates, giving administrators early warning and a single consistent standard for every certificate in the access path.
