ACME Protocol
ACME (Automatic Certificate Management Environment, RFC 8555) is a standard protocol that lets clients such as certbot, win-acme, and acme.sh request and renew certificates from a compatible certificate authority without manual intervention.
Use Cases
Enroll and renew certificates against CertSecure Manager’s own ACMEv2 server using any standard ACME client.
Built-in ACME Server
CertSecure Manager runs its own ACMEv2 server, so standard ACME clients can enroll and renew certificates directly against it.
EAB-Secured Enrollment
Uses External Account Binding (kid/hmac) to tie ACME client requests to a specific CA and certificate template configured in CertSecure Manager.
Standard Client Compatibility
Works with any EAB-capable ACME client, avoiding the need for a CertSecure-specific agent on the enrolling host.
