Frost & Sullivan Report Profiles Encryption Consulting’s CBOM Secure as Enterprises Race to Gain Cryptographic Visibility for Post-Quantum Migration

Frost & Sullivan report on Encryption Consulting’s CBOM Secure and post-quantum migration

New “Insights for CISOs: Transition to Quantum-Safe” report finds that cryptographic discovery is harder than most organizations expect, and highlights how CBOM Secure turns visibility into actionable migration plans

PROSPER, Texas, October 27, 2026 – Encryption Consulting LLC, an applied cryptography firm specializing in PKI, encryption, and post-quantum readiness, today announced that its CBOM Secure platform is profiled in Insights for CISOs: Transition to Quantum-Safe, a new Frost & Sullivan report on how enterprises are preparing for post-quantum cryptography (PQC). The report identifies cryptographic visibility as the foundation of PQC migration and examines how CBOM Secure helps organizations find, map, and prioritize the cryptography that must be replaced. The report is available to download now.

Frost & Sullivan finds that cryptographic assets are spread across networks, endpoints, applications, source code, certificates, key management systems, and hardware security modules (HSMs), so there is rarely a single source of truth. Discovery is proving considerably more complex than many organizations anticipated, because an effective inventory must capture the dependencies between cryptographic assets and the applications, data, and business processes that rely on them, in addition to the algorithms in use.

CBOM Secure uses 20+ sensors to discover cryptographic assets across networks, source code, databases, applications, and secret vaults, creating a unified inventory of an organization’s cryptographic environment. The platform maps relationships between assets, including links between certificates and keys, cross-service dependencies, and instances of key reuse, and translates findings into actionable migration plans that identify vulnerable assets, assess crypto-agility and quantum readiness at the host level, and track progress toward quantum-safe adoption. Granular dashboards, proactive alerts, on-demand audit reports, cryptographically verifiable audit trails, and CycloneDX inventory exports support ongoing oversight and interoperability.

The report also highlights CBOM Secure’s flexibility. The platform supports on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and SaaS deployment, integrates with ServiceNow to route findings to application owners, and works with endpoint and security platforms such as Tanium and CrowdStrike to deploy sensors at scale. Combined with Encryption Consulting’s PQC advisory services, which cover assessment, strategy development, and implementation, CBOM Secure is designed to bridge the expertise gap around PQC and CBOM by providing both the technology and the specialist guidance needed to execute a migration program.

“Every post-quantum roadmap starts with the same question: what cryptography do we have, and what depends on it?” said Puneet Singh, Principal at Encryption Consulting. “We built CBOM Secure to answer that question across the places cryptography actually lives, from cloud key management and HSMs to databases and source code, and to turn the answer into a prioritized plan. Frost & Sullivan’s analysis reflects what we see with our clients: organizations that establish that visibility now, starting with a focused perimeter, are the ones moving from assessment to execution.”

“Encryption Consulting brings together deep cryptographic expertise, comprehensive discovery capabilities, and practical implementation support to address the complexities of PQC migration. Its CBOM Secure platform stands out for its broad visibility into cryptographic assets and dependencies, combined with contextual risk prioritization that helps organizations translate discovery findings into actionable migration roadmaps. By integrating these capabilities with existing enterprise security workflows and tailoring migration strategies to individual customer requirements, Encryption Consulting is well-positioned to support organizations throughout their transition to quantum-safe cryptography,” said Özgün Pelit, Senior Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan.

The urgency is growing. Frost & Sullivan points to Google’s March 2026 decision to target 2029 for its own full transition to PQC as a sign that leading technology companies are planning against a compressed risk horizon. Regulators in the United States (CNSA 2.0), the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore have set PQC milestones falling between 2026 and 2035, and financial institutions in particular are being asked to show they have started identifying cryptographic assets and building migration plans.

The report’s insights for CISOs reinforce the role of the inventory. Frost & Sullivan advises security leaders to start with a focused perimeter rather than waiting for a complete enterprise-wide inventory, to integrate PQC capabilities with existing security platforms instead of adding standalone tools, and to use early pilots to build the bill of materials and cost estimates needed for wider investment. The report also notes that private equity investors are beginning to assess quantum readiness during due diligence, and that poor PQC maturity could translate into a valuation discount.
