ABI Research Featured Us in 3 Reports as We Help Rewrite the CLM Market

abi-research-names-encryption-consulting-across-3-reports-on-the-future-of-clm

Across three different reports published in May 2026, ABI Research recognizes Encryption Consulting and CertSecure Manager for platformization innovation, quantum-safe CLM, and zero-touch automation.

The Certificate Lifecycle Management market is in the middle of its most disruptive decade, with public certificate lifespans compressing toward 47 days. The quantum migration has moved from theory to a scheduled reality and is becoming a real priority for enterprises.  Machine identities, AI agents, and non-human workloads are multiplying the number of certificates enterprises have to manage, and the speed at which they must be rotated, revoked, and replaced. Buyers, understandably, want to know which vendors are actually built for what’s coming.

This month, ABI Research, the independent technology intelligence firm, published three separate reports examining that question:

  • PKI and CLM: The Role of CLM in Enhancing and Enabling PKI (AN-6453)
  • The Role of Automation in CLM (PT-3677)
  • CLM: Evolving Business Models (PT-3676)

Encryption Consulting is featured in all three. Here is what ABI’s Senior Analyst Aisling Dawson observed.

Platformization, not point solutions

The first report frames the central market shift: PKI and CLM, historically sold as separate point solutions, are converging into unified platforms. ABI projects that this converged model will see its most explosive growth between 2030 and 2032, as enterprises mature their quantum strategies and demand cross-organizational cryptographic visibility.

In that context, ABI describes Encryption Consulting as “a leader in terms of platformization innovation,” citing CertSecure Manager‘s integrated PKI-CLM approach, code signing module support, and deep cryptographic discovery capabilities.

That is the architecture we have been building since 2018, and it is becoming the direction the market is now moving toward.

Quantum-safe is a visibility problem first

Most quantum-readiness conversations start with the wrong question. Teams ask which post-quantum algorithm to adopt. The more important question is understanding the cryptography they already use, where it exists across the environment, and the level of risk tied to it.

ABI Research highlights CertSecure Manager’s enhanced risk-profiling capabilities tied to algorithm and cipher usage, and names Encryption Consulting “an innovator when it comes to quantum-safe CLM offerings.”

Visibility is the prerequisite for agility. Agility is the prerequisite for resilience. At Encryption Consulting, we help organizations build that foundation with deeper cryptographic visibility, stronger governance, and the ability to adapt to change faster.

Vendor neutrality, by architecture

Certificate Authority CA distrust events. And that’s why tightening CA/Browser Forum requirements and the rise of multi-CA strategies driven by crypto-agility and quantum priorities are all pushing in the same direction: enterprises need a Certificate Management Solution that does not lock them into a single Certificate Authority.

ABI calls out the built-in capacity within CertSecure Manager to switch between CAs at the click of a button, describing it as “a critical differentiator between other established CLMs.”

We built it that way for a reason. Vendor neutrality is not a marketing word. It is an architectural commitment, and it is one of the two pillars, alongside cost efficiency, that ABI identifies as central to our CLM strategy.

Automation, at the crux

The second report, The Role of Automation in CLM, points out that automation has transitioned from a “nice to have” tool to an indispensable one.  Now, 47-day certificates and machine identity volume are doing the work; manual CLM is no longer tenable for most enterprises.

ABI observes that “automation is at the very crux of Encryption Consulting’s CLM,” pointing to the agent-driven automation layer within CertSecure Manager, native integrations with databases, web servers, ITSM, and alerting systems, and an overall zero-touch approach.

As we expand our reach in the North American market, ABI characterizes those automation capabilities as making Encryption Consulting “a force to be reckoned with in CLM.”

One to watch

In the third report, CLM: Evolving Business Models, ABI’s report examines how shifting market dynamics, by-certificate pricing pressure, the rise of converged platforms, and the demand for true CA-agnosticism are creating room for newer players to disrupt established models.

The report highlights CertSecure Manager’s agnostic combination of private and public CAs for monitoring, alongside its “continuous, multi-vector approach to discovery, not only of certificates but of all cryptographic objects.” Considered alongside our microservices architecture, ABI concludes that Encryption Consulting is “certainly one to watch as shifting CLM market dynamics open the market up to fresh faces.”

Certificate Management

Prevent certificate outages, streamline IT operations, and achieve agility with our certificate management solution.

Earned, together

We started Encryption Consulting in 2018 with a thesis about where cryptographic infrastructure was heading. Eight years later, an independent analyst has examined that direction across three separate reports and validated it.

The recognition belongs to the customers who pushed us to build better, to the partners who trusted the platform early, and to the team that has done the work. We are grateful to ABI Research for the depth of analysis.

The market shift is just beginning. We are continuing the work.
